I am excited to share this rainy day senior session! It rained and rained and rained some more. It rained (I mean poured down), the day we were supposed to meet. We switched days and it rained again. It even rained on my way to this session, but we made this rainy day senior session work out perfectly! The sun poked out from behind the clouds a few times and of course we took a few fun pictures with an umbrella in the rain!
I just know that you are going to love these rainy day senior portraits and I must say Kelsey did an amazing job! We met at Ft. Monroe in Hampton, Virginia. Ft. Monroe has just so much to offer for portraits, from the casemate, to historic houses, and even a beach. It really is the perfect location, and I just love shooting there. Thankfully, Kelsey’s family loves Ft. Monroe for portraits too! Not too long ago, I photographed, Kelsey’s older sister’s senior portraits here too!
I enjoy talking to seniors in high school. They have a refreshing outlook on the world. They are ready to make a change and to be a change. And Kelsey is ready to be a part of that, having a desire to be a firefighter. What an amazing career choice! She will be serving her community and helping others on a daily basis, what a privilege! And I know her family is and will always be so proud of her!
Kelsey is part of my extend family and it was an honor to photograph her senior pictures, but it also made me feel so old!! I remember when she was just a baby! Wow! Kelsey, you are just so beautiful! Kelsey’s blue summer dress and this old white front porch is just perfection! I love these portraits! Just so much fun! Just how adorable! When it is a rainy day at your senior session, you make the best of it and take some fun pictures with an umbrella! Kelsey’s family (and extend family) loves going to the beach. And Ft. Monroe has the perfect little beach for portraits! She is just so gorgeous!! Hooray for your senior year, Kelsey! I can’t wait to see how you serve and love others and change the world!
