Grace and Jacob were married at the International Country Club in Fairfax, Virginia. And it was a honor to photograph their wedding! I have known Grace and Jacob personally for several years now. I met Grace years and years (and years) ago, back when Daniel and I were students at Christopher Newport University (she is the younger sister of one of my college roommates). Well, Daniel and I graduated from school and started our family, and when we needed a babysitter for Kylie, we found a student (actually several students) at Christopher Newport University, one of whom was Grace. Grace has been connected to us over the years. And later, when Grace and Jacob started dating, we would even see them at our church together. It was so much fun to see them together and to know that their love was growing.
It was such an honor to photograph their International Country Club outdoor wedding. Grace wore a gorgeous A-line wedding gown with lace detail and these perfect buttons down the back. She paired her wedding gown with white wedding flats with pearl and laced detail , which seemed to perfectly match her gown. And her jewelry was timeless with pearl and diamond encrusted bracelet and earrings that were a gift to her from Jacob’s mother. Grace looked absolutely stunning in her dress with her timeless details!
Jacob wore a gray suit with a blue tie that coordinated with their wedding colors. Each groomsman actually had the same color tie, but with subtle differences in the patterns and textures. His groomsmen were a lot of fun and I could tell that each of them had a deep friendship with Jacob.
Grace and Jacob had an intimate ceremony outside at the International Country Club. Their close friends and family were there to support them, which was so sweet. They said their vows and now they are married!! Woohoo!
After the ceremony, Grace and Jacob were able to celebrate with their friends and family! Their reception even involved a lot of games, which was a lot of fun! They did the shoe game and a trivia game. In addition, they had booklets for each table to leave comments for their next few years of marriage. It was a lovely evening and I was so honored to be a part of it!
How beautiful is the detail on this wedding dress?! These buttons and lace are just gorgeous! These stunning earrings were a gift to Grace from Jacob’s mom. Grace wore her grandmother’s ring as her something old.You know it is a COVID-19 wedding when the bridal party has matching masks! I love it when couples exchange letters on their wedding day. It is so special and intimate. She is just stunning! Grace wore her sister’s veil as her something borrowed. And it was beautiful on her! After everyone was dressed, Grace walked down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband. It was a very intimate ceremony, with close family and friends. Isn’t he just the cutest! And they are married! And they are married! Woohoo!I had to include a picture of my friend and her sister (Maddie)! Maddie was my college roommate for two years! And it was so much fun to see her family again! This picture just says it all! They had such a wonderful bridal party! These girls were all just so sweet! They are just adorable together!Definitely a favorite! That summer sunlight! Just gorgeous! AHH!!! Grace you are just gorgeous!!!! The reception was also at the International Country Club in Fairfax, Virginia. And they had such a beautiful reception with fresh flowers, touches of blue ribbon, and gorgeous up-lighting.
All of their friends and family had so much joy celebrating with the newlyweds! Their first dance was just perfection! They had practiced a dance together and it was so sweet to watch! And look at their sweet smiles, they were so excited to be husband and wife! It was so sweet to listen to all of these toasts! And to learn more about how the Lord has designed their relationship. Why have one cake when you can have a cake table filled with cakes?!Cake cutting! These cakes were so delicious!! Such a sweet picture! And I love that their mothers had coordinating colored dresses! Jacob is taking this game seriously! bahahah! The Shoe Game is always so much fun to watch and to learn more about the bride and groom! Congratulations to Jacob and Grace!! We couldn’t be happier for you!
