I did something different… I shot my FIRST elopement! I thought I was finished with my wedding season until the Spring, but I was able to be a part of an elopement at the Magnolia House in Hampton, Virginia! It was such a special ceremony watching just a bride and groom share their marriage vows with each other and be totally focused on each other. There were no distractions, no cell phones, no noises, just the bride and groom-it was quite special.
The ceremony was in a quiet, private room, with romantic mood lighting. The sun was beaming through the stain-glassed windows just as Renee entered the room. Her eyes immediately locked eyes with Jody. You could just tell that they were so excited to be getting married!
It was so sweet to listen to their personal vows as they held hands, and promised to be with each other through all the highs and lows of life.
After the ceremony, we were able to get a few sunset portraits outside of the Magnolia House and with the bride’s mustang (just wait until you see this car!).
And of course, they celebrated with an adorable wedding cake and a toast to their marriage!
It was a joy to photograph this elopement! It was such a pleasure to photograph this Elopement Magnolia House.Congrats (and cheers!) to the newlyweds!!
