Blind dates. Just those words are enough to scare people, but not Elizabeth and Guy. Both Elizabeth and Guy were courageous enough to go on a blind date and well it worked out quite nicely for them! They actually met while they were both at Old Miss. And after that first date they continued to spend time together and they just knew that they were made for each other.
Both Elizabeth and Guy enjoy the water and the outdoors so we met at their wedding venue, Elizabeth’s family’s boat house in Mathew’s County, Virginia. And it is just gorgeous out there! There is water for miles, fresh green grass, small beaches and long piers-which made for a perfect location for an outdoor waterfront engagement session.
The day went from bright, warm, and sunny to dark, windy, and cloudy within just a few hours and we just knew a storm was approaching. We could see the clouds rolling in and hear the thunder in the distance, but that didn’t stop us from having fun! I think the weather would have sacred a few people, but not these two! They were enjoying each other and celebrating their engagement. If you can’t tell they are quite an amazing couple!
And these two are dog lovers, so of course we had to take a picture with one of their family dogs! Their sweet pups followed us all around the property, like they were protecting us, it was quite adorable! And I think they were having a great time just playing outside with their owners.
This Mathews County Engagement session was just so much fun! And I love that you can see the storm rolling in behind them.
