Do you want more time? Do you want to be more productive? Do you wish you could do more things that you love? I have a REALLY easy solution for you, turn your social media notifications OFF. I love social media, I love looking at my Instagram feed or seeing pictures of family members on Facebook, but at the end of the day it is not the most important thing.

Social media is an AMAZING tool, but it also can be a time suck and be emotionally draining. You can spend SO much time scrolling looking at other people’s lives, comparing yourself, hoping your life was different, or wishing that you have more time to do fun things like other people.

Save your time (and your emotions) by turning off your social media notifications on your phone! I used to obsessively check my phone. Check every notification for every platform. I hate seeing the little red notification circles on my phone. If I see it, I will check it. And that means I would spend minutes up to hours checking all my notifications. What a waste of my time!

Did you know that the average person spends about TWO HOURS and 24 minutes a day on social media. That is TWO HOURS + of your life that you could have back! If you spend two hours of your day, every day on social media, it would equal little more than 5 years over the course of your lifetime. 5 years! Can you believe that?!

I am not telling you to give up social media (I do check my accounts everyday), but just turning off your notifications will save you more time and will allow to spend more time doing what you love!
