We finally took the time to redo our bedroom! Check out our green and white master bedroom refresh! We bought our house almost six years ago now! We live in a 1960’s brick rancher and luckily for us a lot of the bigger projects had already been updated! The one thing that needed to be “fixed” is the paint and the old wood trim.
After purchasing the house, we spent a lot of time painting walls, painting trim, and even painting doors. The one room that was never completed was our master bedroom! We painted it (a strange mix of blue colors…aka leftover paint!) and went with it for years. Well, the world flipped-upside down recently and we decided to change some things too!
We completely repainted the room and the trim (not the windows, they will be replaced one day!). The room is now a fresh green color, which was based off the tiny green leaves on the bedspread.
All of the trims and closet doors have been painted white, also. Along with the paint, we moved all of the furniture around! *Daniel said he never like the idea of a bed blocking a window, so we never tired it, until now! And this new set-up allows for more walking space, makes the room feel bigger, and it doesn’t block the light! This Fall season was so busy that we never shared our green and white master bedroom refresh on the blog until now!
We have beautiful prints from our wedding in our room! Aren’t these adorable! Daniel used the kids fingerprints to make these little trees for me for mother’s day! I just love these canvas prints! They are beautifully printed on strong canvas and framed with the perfect silver frames!I just love the light that comes into the bedroom during the afternoon. This little guy, was originally my great-grandmother’s rocking chair and this summer I took the time to sand, repaint, and fix it up to be a usable rocking chair! It’s perfect! And we finally took the time to paint all the trim and closet doors (not pictured) white! The room is beautiful! This poor plant has been with me since my sophomore year of college! It is one of the few plants I haven’t killed! We added these new curtains and hung them close to the ceiling to make the room look taller and bigger!
