Snowy Engagement Session? Yes, please! Newport News, Virginia finally received snow! Hampton Roads hardly ever gets snow, so we get really excited when it does happen! And my wonderful clients were willing to stand outside in the very cold and wet snow.
We met near the Lion’s Bridge, which is part of the Mariners’ Museum park. Originally, Bonnie and Nick were planning on having a picnic session, but due to rain (and rain again!) we rescheduled for a snowy engagement session!
I am excited to share their adorable love story: Bonnie and Nick met in grad school at Appalachian State University and over time their friendship grew. Nick officially asked Bonnie out on her graduation day! And many years later, Nick and Bonnie walked around the College of William and Mary’s campus (where Bonnie went to school for undergrad), and he asked her about the legend of the Crim Dell bridge. Supposedly if you walk across alone, you’re destined to be alone forever, but if you kiss someone at the top then you’ll be together forever. They walked across, and Nick stopped to kiss Bonnie at the top, then he dropped to one knee and proposed! So sweet!
These guys are amazing for standing outside in the cold for their engagement session! I love that the flowers are blooming and that it is snowing at the same time! As you tell, the snow started to really pick up during their session! They really wanted a picnic engagement session, but as you get tell you just can’t control the weather! Their picnic items are still adorable in the snow! I just love this one!
