We met at the Historic Fort Monroe in Hampton, Virginia. Fort Monroe has so much to offer for family sessions, greenery, brick, historic buildings, and of course the casemate itself. We were able to walk around the Casemate Museum, enjoying the sunshine and views of the surrounding area.
It is always a pleasure to photograph families year after year. This year was a little different I was able to photograph an entire extended family – grandparents, grand kids, sisters, brothers, parents and children. This Ft.Monroe family session was a gift to these lovely grandparents pictured below. And what a sweet gift, especially with two new additions to their growing family! And this sweet family had the opportunity to make memories and to save this moment in each other’s lives! I know adults don’t change much physically year to year like little ones, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take the time to photograph them too! The Chappells have two sons and this family session was to photograph their adult children (and their spouses) but also to photograph their grandchildren! Both of their sons recently (within the last year) have had a third child, increasing their grandchild count up to 6! I was only with the Chappells for a short amount of time, but I know they LOVE their grandchildren! I can tell they truly enjoy being grandparents to all of these little ones! I mean how adorable are these kiddos! Look at these new additions! What a blessing to be able to be a part of their grandchildren’s lives! Aren’t these girls adorable?!!! I love that their mom had them in matching outfits! The entire family! 6 kids all under the age of 10! Such sweet families! I love capturing family sessions at Ft. Monroe ! Look at Ezra’s sweet smile!! What a cutie! This is one of my favorites!
