Christopher Newport University in Newport News is the place they met, fell in love, and now they do ministry there. That ministry, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, was such an important organization on campus for Daniel and me. We had the opportunity to lead small groups, worship with other students and expand our knowledge of the Gospel. And that’s where we met this family- the Gambardella family- Eric, Beth, Julian, and Faith. I loved photographing their Christopher Newport University family session!

The ministry is mostly led by students but there is also staff leaders there to guide, teach, mentor, and speak to the students. And that is actually what Eric does as a staffer there and he is amazing at his job. Intervaristy Christian Fellowship at Christopher Newport University, was such an beneficial organization for Daniel and I. Our faith grew so much during our college years.

Christopher Newport University is not only where Eric and Beth work, both it is also where they met and fell in love. So, we knew it was going to be the best to take their family portraits. Being a natural-light photographer, CNU was the perfect location to capture the beauty of their family and the campus.

And this sweet family has been such a blessing to us after college! Eric and Beth helped grow our faith during our college years and they even did our marriage counseling with us, right before we were married. Years later, after college weddings and all, we are still friends! Their little girl Faith is close to in age to Kylie, and we often get together for play dates.

It was such a joy to photograph their sweet family!
