Church Ceremonies | Weddings - Diana Gordon Photography

I love engagement sessions at historical venues and I love wedding ceremonies inside churches! Especially if the churches have a lot of architectural features to them! I know it is very traditional and not really the wedding trend, but I am traditional. Honestly, most photographers dislike church ceremonies due to low light situations (often you are not allowed to use a flash) and sometimes you have to remain at the back of the church. I actually love them. I love to see a bride walk down an aisle, I love to see the couple framed by gorgeous architecture. I studied art history in college, it was my second major actually, and I loved it! At one point I considered getting a Master’s degree in Art History – I am that passionate about it. When I walk into a church building with gorgeous architecture, stained glass, and pendant lights I immediately geek out inside! They truly don’t make churches or buildings like they used to; you just can’t replicate it. Over the last two years, I have had a few weddings that happened to have gorgeous church venues.

Just a few months ago, we were at the Wren Chapel at the College of William and Mary!
