Consistency is the key to everything. Want to lose weight? You need to be consistent with your workout routine and eating habits. Working out once every 2 months isn’t going to help you reach your goal.
And parenting-whew, don’t even get me started – sleeping routines, eating routines, discipline, etc. It is all about being consistent with your actions and schedules.
It is all the same when it comes to running a photography business.
Some people blog once in a while, but not on the same days. Some people answer emails days after they receive them. Some people take weeks to deliver one gallery but months to deliver the next.
Not showing up when we said we would, not answering when we said we would, and not being consistent is hurting your business. So, why are we not consistent sometimes in our businesses?
We don’t have proper schedules, workflows, or systems to help us.
As business owners we need to be consistent across all avenues of our business including editing, responding, delivering, blogging, posting, etc.
Our clients deserve our best and that means showing up across all avenues consistently.
Over the next few months I will be sharing a few ways I show up consistently in my business from blog schedules, email templates, and workflow charts. (And there will be some freebies along the way!!!)
Here are a few ways to start to make your business more consistent:
-write out or make a calendar (label shoots, blogs, social media, etc.)
-label what is the most important in your business on your calendar
-start by practicing one item at a time
