2024 was a year full of sessions and excitement for our family.
I worked for Serve the City (a non-profit) for a few months in the beginning of the year. And our family enjoyed volunteering with them a few days throughout the year.
In September, Daniel completely switched careers from solar energy to being a supervisor in Preventive Maintenance
at NASA Langley. This meant he had more time at home and zero travel. After 2 1/2 years of him traveling, we were excited about the change.
I actually redid a piece of furniture! Probably will not be doing that again anytime soon. It was a lot of fun but very time consuming!
We traveled and enjoyed our first true vacation as a family of four in Spenser, North Carolina. Daniel and I went to Staunton, Virginia and I hiked my first mountain.
I went back to school… well sort of! I have become a substitute teacher at our kids’ school, which has been a lot of fun.
And we were thrilled to learn we were having another baby!
We spent a lot of time outside, visiting family, being a part of our church community, and just living life. (As my son said, it was a LOT OF FUN!).
And it was! 2024 was filled with great family memories even among the big transitions.
It was a big year for the business, too! I had my first intern, Sami!
I did my first speaking gig, which was amazing.
I served three different non-profits this year.
Photographed one cake smash, one funeral, one studio headshot, one senior session with a horse!,
two maternity sessions, three newborn sessions, and 57 family sessions!!! And a lot of church events!
