I am so excited to share about Serve the City’s Volunteer Week! Serve the City is an organization that transforms lives and communities on the Virginia peninsula by volunteering to do acts of kindness for those in need. And every year they have a BIG Volunteer Week where they send out different teams of people to make change and serve others and share the love of Christ. This year I was able to photograph just one day of service, and it was amazing. It was so encouraging to see how the Lord had provided so many volunteers to share the love of Christ in the community. All of these volunteers sacrificed their time, their schedules, and their sweat (most volunteers were outside!) to serve their community in little ways. But these little ways, made a big impact!

It was quite beautiful to watch kids, youth, and adults all serving together. If you would like to help Serve the City, they have opportunities year around. And they could always need your prayers and financial support.

Serve the City had projects all over Newport News from local schools to local ministries.
