This wedding, at Old Christ Church in Pensacola, Florida was so emotional for me. It wasn’t the stunning look of the historical white church, it wasn’t the beautiful pink and white flower arrangements, or the destination – it was the people: the bride and groom and their families.
We met Emma years and years ago (I actually can’t remember when we met her.) Emma’s oldest sister was my college roommate. And I would see Emma and her parents/family periodically over our last few years of college, into our marriage, and years after. For some reason or another we would visit Emma’s family at least once a year. And her parents would graciously feed us, clothe us and let us spend the night at their home. Her parents (and family) really started to feel like a second family to us (we would see them so often!).
And when they reached out to us to photograph Emma’s wedding, we were so honored! It was like being a part of their family again. I teared up watching Emma get into her wedding dress (it seems like she was just a teenager so recently!), and when her Dad saw her for the first time in her dress..whew..there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. And the speeches at the reception…again joyous tears…it was an honor to photograph this family and Emma becoming part of a new family with Cameron.
We have known Emma for years, but it was so fun to meet Cameron and hear their love story. They were made for each other. Emma and Cameron met in the 8th grade and started dating in high school!!! (They are high school sweethearts!). Their love lasted through high school, college, long distance, and everything in between. And it is so sweet that they are finally husband and wife!!!
Emma and Cameron were married at Old Christ Church in Pensacola, Florida. Their family and friends all flew in for this joyous occasion. Emma wore a classic bridal gown with a tulle skirt and an amazing veil. Cameron wore a blue suit and a masculine leather bow tie. And they were the perfect match. Emma walked down the aisle, just beaming, and they said their “I dos”. And then everyone gathered to celebrate this long-awaited occasion! Toasts, dancing, cake, speeches, tears, laughter – it was an evening to remember. Emma’s family and Cameron’s family have known each other for years and they were so excited (and moved to tears), that Emma and Cameron were finally married and starting a family of their own!
Emma’s dress had a very classic feel to it-flowing tulle skirt, beautiful buttons and lacy veil.
Just look at this gorgeous veil!
Emma wore earrings, that were a dear family friend’s (Jeanie Ervin) who passed away. Jeanie played an important role in both Emma and Cameron’s lives, and that is very sweet way to honor her.
I loved that her bridesmaid’s and mom helped her get ready for the big day!
Emma, is just so stunning!
Emma and Cameron exchanged letters on their wedding day.
Emma, also did a Daddy-Daughter First look, which had the room in tears!
Isn’t this the sweetest? The flower girl, Lydia ,looking up at her Aunt Em!
Emma, you are just gorgeous!

Ahh! So adorable!
Just how gorgeous are they! They look like they should be on a magazine cover! I just love this veil shot!
Hello, the new Mr. and Mrs.Baugh!!
I love this guest book idea! Time for cake cutting! I loved that they had cake (gluten-free …it was so good!) and cupcakes as a option.
This cake was so gorgeous! The toasts were so emotional! These dear families have known each other for years and it was so sweet for them to come together and to celebrate their children becoming one.
Dance time!
These girls were amazing to watch! They all have been a part of chorus shows before and had some amazing dances moves!
Emma and Cameron did the shoe game, which is always hilarious!
Emma and Cameron choose to do a last dance alone, which is so sweet!
