2020 was a strange year for us all, but some fun and good things did happen to our family throughout the year and we would love to share with you!

So enjoy some funny, quirky, and not so glamorous cell phone pictures of our life this year!

January-March

In January, Diana turned 30 years old! (She wasn’t thrilled about it!).

Daniel started a new job at Newport News Shipbuilding.

Leland was on the move and into everything!

And Kylie started learning her letters!

Remember that one time it snowed! (Yep, that happened in 2020!)March came, and well, we started to play inside and stay socially distanced outside! April-June

As you know, COVID hit and like everyone else we stayed at home. Our shoots all got rescheduled or cancelled and our Spring was wide-open for family time and the world of zoom.

Leland started walking at 11 months and turned one in April! And we haven’t been able to slow him down since!

I (Diana) started homeschooling Kylie and we focused on a new letter a week since her preschool closed. It gave us all something to focus on! We also tried our best to serve our neighbors and friends (from a distance!). We dropped off surprises on porches and made lots of cookies!

And of course, we made some big COVID purchases – a train table and kayaks! And we started some house projects!  I started redoing an old rocking chair and Daniel made a playhouse for the kids!

And we lived life outside – kayaking, biking (Kylie learned how to ride a bike!!!), and we started a garden!

July-September

As things started to reopen, our business did, too! We started scheduling Fall sessions (and we were so happy to be able to capture some smiling faces again!)

Daniel turned 30 years old (He WAS excited about it!) He also switched jobs to BHI and works as a Quality Control manager for a solar power plant construction.

Kylie’s preschool reopened! And Diana started watching a friend’s two-year-old a few days a week.

Leland was in full toddler mode! And he got his first haircut! And the house projects continued! We redid our bedroom (blog post coming soon!)

October-December

Our schedule went from being empty in the Spring to being overly scheduled. We had Fall sessions, the holidays, and several family birthdays!

And of course, we went all out for Halloween! (The cast of Frozen!)

Diana’s schedule was filled with two small groups, a business coach, and sessions! Daniel’s work schedule was very busy! And we celebrated 8 years of marriage!

Kylie and Leland enjoy life as kids – school, playing inside and outside! Kylie turned 4 years old and had an Elsa themed party. Before we knew it, it was Christmas time! We spent time with each other and made lots of cookies!

Worried about #whiskeythekitty? Well, let’s just say he was in the middle of everything and was VERY well loved this year! (the poor cat!)

2020 is almost over! It was a unique year to say the least, but it was filled with many memories for our family! We can’t wait to start 2021!
