“A meet cute” is when two people (usually in film) is when two people who will form a future romantic couple meet for the first time. And that is what actually happened to Amanda and Mike. They met outside Firkin and Frigate in Newport News, through mutual friends. It was one of those moments where nothing should have happened. They were just introduced through mutual friends, which happens all the time when you hang out but instead a romance bloomed. They bonded over old TV shows they watched as kids. Eight and half years later, Mike proposed to Amanda in the very spot they met! Now they are married!!
Amanda wore an elegant bridal gown that was covered with a floral lace design and beading. It was absolutely stunning! Amanda added cobalt blue bridal details like blue high heel shoes with jewels to her look. She wore a blue jeweled bracelet, necklace, and earrings. And she even had her fingernails painted blue! It was an elegant bridal look for a blue and silver themed wedding! Amanda’s mom and best friend helped her get ready which was filled with such sweet moments together.
Mike wore a classic black tuxedo with blue vest and tie. And he added one unique detail to his style-a tie pin which Amanda ordered especially for him. It was a blue Iron Man arc reactor symbol. Mike is a huge Marvel and Iron Man fan, so it was the perfect wedding day gift for Mike!
Amanda choose to do a First Look with her Dad, which was so sweet! Her dad had the best reactions to his little girl being in her wedding dress! After those tender moments, it was time for her dad to walk her down the aisle.
The moment when Mike sees his bride for the first time, is priceless. Joy and excitement are written all over his face. And Amanda’s teary eyes going down the aisle are so filled with so much emotion. After exchanging vows in front of their friends and family they are officially married!
They enjoyed the rest of the evening dancing and visiting with family and friends! And of course eating doughnuts!! You don’t want to miss their doughnut cake and doughnut dessert table!
Amanda had such gorgeous colt blue bridal details – an elegant blue jeweled necklace, jeweled bracelet, and earrings. These rings will one day be family heirlooms, just like the one on the left. This ring was the ring that Amanda’s father used to propose to her mother. And the ring was given to her father by his mother who received it on her birthday in 1927. I love when bride and groom’s incorporate their family into their wedding details like these little picture frames that were attached to the bridal bouquet. I love Amanda’s dress! It has everything a gorgeous bridal gown should have-lace, jewels, tulle, and a beautiful train! And this dress was especially unique because it had pockets! Yes, you read that right…this dress had pockets!! Like at this gorgeous lace! I love it when moms help their daughters get into their dress. It is such a special moment! This beautiful bracelet with sapphires was such a perfect addition to her bridal look. This! The pure joy and happiness on Amanda’s face! Amanda you are gorgeous! Daddy-daughter First Looks get me every time! I always tear up! How sweet are these reactions from Amanda’s dad?!!The look of love! Amanda tearing up as she walks down the aisle to her best friend. The first time he gets to see his bride! It was so sweet! Sweet tears! And they are married!! The sunlight was just perfect for their portraits! We headed out of the Marriott in City Center and went down towards the fountains in the middle of City Center! The sunlight glowing through the trees made for some gorgeous wedding portraits! Just stunning! Epic veil shot! Just look at the way they look at each other. They are just adorable together! I love that Amanda wore a family heirloom ring along with her engagement and wedding bands. The joy and happiness of being married!! Amanda you are just stunning!!!! Why have cake when you can have doughnuts?! A dessert bar filled with just doughnuts, ummm…yes please!!! The father-daughter dance was so sweet! How fun is this mother and son dance! Such a sweet little family!Just think one day this dad and daughter will be dancing together, but his little girl will be wearing a wedding dress.Congrats to the newlyweds!! Vendor Love:
