It was McKenzie’s dream weather and dream day to be marrying her best friend. Kevin and McKenzie were married at the Winery at Bull Run in Manassas, Virginia. Their family and friends gathered to celebrate their marriage covenant. And we were excited to be a part of their Winery at Bull Run Outdoor Wedding.
McKenzie wore a gorgeous wedding gown with a lace overlay and cut-out back, with perfectly rounded buttons all the way down the back. She wore a classic yet simple peal necklace and earrings. And elegant white high heel shoes were perfect to complete her wedding day look. McKenzie was surrounded by her sweet bridesmaids and mom who helped her get ready. They were all full of excitement for their dear friend. Kevin wore a traditional navy blue suit with a vest and tie. He got ready with his dad by his side and his groomsmen.
McKenzie and Kevin were married outside on the Hillwood Ruin at the Winery at Bull Run. They had a romantic outdoor ceremony, with personal vows and a sealing of a wine bottle. It was so sweet to watch to people who love each other say their vows to each other and seal it with kiss. And to compliment their Fall outdoor ceremony, they offered hot apple cider to their guests (what a perfect Fall wedding idea!).
After the ceremony, we were able to catch the Fall colors of the sunset-the yellow and orange glow was just perfect for their wedding portraits! McKenzie and Kevin were amazing during their portraits-it was freezing outside! We were able to venture into the vineyards at the winery for their portraits. It was the perfect background for a Fall wedding in Virginia.
The sun was setting and it was warming up inside as their reception got started. McKenzie and Kevin were greeted with warm cheers from their guests. Being full of joy, they started their romantic first dance as a husband and wife. And then McKenzie’s dad stepped-in for the father-daughter dance, which was so moving and made me misty-eyed. And McKenzie’s welcome and toast brought down the house, in tears. Anyone who has a child, especially a daughter, knows that there is a special relationship between a father and his daughter. After the tears were wiped away, the party got started! Kevin and McKenzie and their guests danced the night away.
McKenzie’s dress was just gorgeous! I loved the cut out back, lace details, and the perfectly rounded buttons down the back. This ring is just perfection! Pearls are always perfect for a bridal look! I love the idea of writing your own vows in a keepsake booklet! McKenzie had such elegant and traditional bridal details! I love a classic pair of white heels! I am in love with all these details from this Winery at Bull Run Outdoor Wedding.Isn’t she just beaming?! She was so excited to finally be marrying her best friend!Jackie, McKenzie’s maid-of-honor, got to help her get ready! Mom gets to add the final touches!McKenzie is such a gorgeous bride! They both wrote their own vows. It was really sweet to listen to them declare their love to each other in their own words. And they are married!! Woohoo! What an amazing bridal party! They are so adorable together! McKenzie has such an amazing model face! Such a fun shot through the vineyards! It was FREEZING outside when we were doing portraits! Kevin and McKenzie were such troopers during this time! One of my favorites! How gorgeous is this wedding cake?? It looked so delicious! They had a romantic first dance! I wish I had a tissue during this toast! McKenzie’s dad gave such a touching and tear-jerking toast to his daughter and his now son-in-law. They did something, I have never seen before. They had just the parents dance alone and then McKenzie and Kevin joined them. It was very touching! So much joy! They were so excited to be married!McKenzie’s sister danced the night away!!!
