Old Town Alexandria Engagement

I’m so excited to share this Old Town Alexandria engagement session! Phil is a dear friend of ours from college and we now have the honor to call Bethany a friend, too! We met our sweet friends at the City Hall Square and walked around the historic streets of Old Town. Old Town and the Market Square area is a gorgeous area but it is also a special area for Bethany and Phil. This area in Old Town Alexandria is not only a place they like to hang out and enjoy the historic buildings and views of the water, but it is also where Phil proposed.

It was close to Bethany’s birthday and Phil had it all planned out to propose to her. It was near Christmas time and Old Town Alexandria was decorated with Christmas trees and lights. Phil had the evening all planned for them to watch the Christmas boat parade near the Market Square and enjoy a nice dinner out as a couple. Little did Bethany know that by the end of the evening, she would be engaged! After their dinner, they walked around the area and Phil found a huge Christmas tree in the middle of the City Hall Square. He asked the love of his life to spend the rest of her life with him, under the sparkly lights of the Christmas tree. (How romantic!)

Phil proposed on the other side of the City Hall area. We might not have had the Christmas lights, but we did have beautiful sunlight. How cool is this little alley?! We don’t have this in the suburbs! Bethany loves the water, so we made sure to get some pictures on the docks at the Market Square area. And that bridge behind them is the bridge that leads to Maryland.
