Why should I have a bridal portrait session? I love this question, because I love photographing brides and having an unique time to spend with them. A bridal session is a perfect opportunity to take some time for yourself! Having been a bride, I completely understand that the closer the wedding gets the more stressed you get about it. There will always be little details and things to do, so why not take a step back, calm down and get glamored up!
Bridal sessions are also a great time for a “practice run”. Do you know how long it is going to take to get your hair done, how about your make-up? Does your dress still fit? What jewelry or shoes are you going to wear? A bridal session is a great time to figure this out before the wedding! It’s also a perfect excuse to get glamored up and have some fun with your mom or your bridesmaids
Also, bridal portrait sessions are a great opportunity to get that one picture, you know what I am talking about! If you have ever been to your grandmother’s house and seen that one picture of her in her wedding dress-that picture that sits on your grandfather’s nightstand. Or that picture your dad has of your mom in her wedding dress-that picture! That is the picture I am talking about! That picture you have grown up seeing over the years but never really thought about until you got engaged! A bridal portrait session is an opportunity to have a moment for you to have that picture, that picture one day your kids and grand kids will look at in your home and ask you about your wedding day. It will be a picture of a bride and a legacy.
