I feel like it is extremely important to know the mission and the inspiration behind your favorite businesses. Today, I am sharing the “why” behind my business.
I haven’t always been a wedding photographer, but I have always loved taking pictures. I have folders and folders on my computer with of family photos and albums filled with our memories. During the planning process of our wedding I started falling in love with wedding photography. It wasn’t until a year after our wedding, that I started my business.
Though it all started with our marriage, our wedding experience and one picture.
THE STORY BEHIND IT ALL
For me it’s the moments in life that need to be photographed.
The moments that turn into lifetime memories.
And this was that moment.
This was a moment before our first look.
This was the moment I held my best friend’s hand, before we said,
“I promise, I will, and I do”.
This hand, I literally get to have and hold; this hand I get to love; this hand is there to love me and support me; this hand will pull me up when I am down; this hand will high five me when life is great; this hand will wipe my tears; this hand will one day hold my child.
This hand belongs to my one and only.
And this beautiful moment will forever be a lifetime memory.
Those moments are what I live for.
I love the memories and moments of a wedding day and the sanctity of the marriage covenant. I love the details, the family heirlooms, special items, ceremony, and flowers. I love the look on a groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time. I love it when a bride cries going down the aisle or when she dances with her father. I love watching family members’ congrat and celebrate with the bride and groom.
I believe in those moments. I believe in cherishing and keeping those memories and I believe in the sanctity of the marriage covenant.
