Last week I started a new blog series, Photog Friday, where I get to share behind the scenes tips and tricks. This week I am sharing another simple, cheap, but effective tip-bring your own hanger.
I have been to so many weddings where the bride did not have a personalized hanger for her wedding gown. She only had the plastic hanger from the store for her gorgeous gown. Ideally, you don’t want to photograph a bridal gown on a plastic hanger.
A bride has dreamed about her wedding day and has shopped for the perfect dress that makes her feel beautiful inside and out. And she will forever have the emotions of her wedidng day attached to her wedding dress. When your bride looks back at her wedding day pictures you want her to see the dress and feel all the emotions again, and not see the ugly plastic hanger.
Bringing your own hanger to photograph the dress is a really simple gesture that your bride may or may not even notice, but it allows you to
go above and beyond for your bride.
My hanger stays in the elastic outside pocket of my ThinkTank bag. You just never know when you might need it for a wedding gown or to hang up your groom’s suit jacket.
