Downtown Norfolk Intimate Wedding

This wedding was years in the making and I am so happy that I was a part of it! I honestly can not wait to share these images from Hanna’s and Elijah’s intimate wedding at the Woman’s Club in Norfolk, Virginia. These two have had a long distance relationship for quite some time now and I know everyone is excited for them to finally be together.

Elijah and Hanna met for the first time when Elijah was teaching in Korea. And they reconnected when they both were in the United States. I had the pleasure of meeting Hanna many years ago when Elijah and Hanna first starting dating. Elijah and I used to work together and we used to sit next to each other. You learn a lot about your coworker when you sit next to them day-in and day-out for many years. I just remember hearing about Hanna and Elijah’s face just lighting up as he talked about her. And I remember all the times Elijah took off work to travel to wherever Hanna was in the country. Hanna has been in the United States working on her Master’s and Doctorate’ degrees and has lived in different states (neither of them Virginia) for her education. Elijah was just smitten with her. And their love story was one of long distance relationship for many seasons. And it was all in the Lord’s timing that he brought together forever this past weekend.

Hanna wore this gorgeous timeless wedding gown – the dress had beautiful lace sleeves and lace overlay. Hanna paired her classic look with elegant drop earrings, flowing veil and flower-inspired shoes. She was the classic, timeless bride! And Hanna was able to be surround by her bridesmaids all morning long. And her bridesmaids were so sweet and just adorable (wait to see the pictures of them celebrating!). And Hanna’s mom was so sweet! She not only helped Hanna by getting ready but also helped her all day long by carrying her train or holding her flowers, just whatever her daughter needed, she was there to help.

Elijah wore a blue suit with white tie to compliment his bride’s gorgeous look. And he was ready to get married in front of his friends and family! He was so excited and in awe of his wife’s beauty! Elijah and Hanna were married in the church Elijah’s family attends and they were able to praise and worship God for this marriage with their combined families. And after the ceremony, they were able to further celebrate at the Woman’s Club in Norfolk. They had the entire house for their wedding and it was a gorgeous venue with its dark wood, architectural features, and romantic lighting

Hanna had such a classic and timeless bridal look!I just love these elegant earrings! So much laughter and celebration! Cheers to the new couple!Isn’t Hanna just gorgeous?!!This was such a sweet mother-daughter moment! Aw! Look at Elijah’s face! They are just so adorable together! We had to move fast during portraits, it started to rain! If you look really carefully, you can see the rain in the background. It sadly poured down rain during their wedding, BUT the Woman’s Club in Norfolk, has a nice wide porch so we were able to take a few more portraits outside. Simple but elegant table settings! Hanna went to school for conducting (music) and she and her bridesmaids are extremely talented!!! Her bridesmaids sang at the ceremony and the reception it was incredible. We were able to take a few portraits inside the Woman’s Club. This picture just says it all! Cheers to the happy couple! Towards the end of the reception Hanna’s dad played/sang a special song with Hanna and Elijah. It was such a sweet and tenderhearted moment, to hear the man who first loved Hanna sing with the man that now has Hanna’s heart. Congrats again to Mr. and Mrs. Palmer!Vendor Love:
